HEAD OF PURCHASING, Hardware Supply
to lead our tight team of seven Purchasers, working seamlessly together.
About the job
Head of Purchasing leads operative purchasing group to achieve goals set to ensure good quality and cost-efficient material flow for production and installation sites globally. He/she creates and implements best practices in way-of-working, strategies, processes and guidelines to improve business performance. Head of Purchasing sets goals for group and individuals, supports, coaches and mentors group members to able them to succeed.
Head of Purchasing is responsible for developing and maintaining existing supplier network and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance. He/she develops and maintains strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance for the group. Head of Purchasing also attends to sourcing activities and supplier evaluations along with Sourcing Managers. Daily tasks include supporting personnel with operational and administrative issues. He/she is monitoring delivery times and purchasing budgets.
Head of Purchasing is a main contact of purchasing for external stakeholders globally (suppliers, subcontractors, logistic partners, auditors etc.). Internally he/she works closely with all other groups in HW Supply and also with sales, product and delivery management, finance, spare parts and ICT.
About the person
We expect you to have a university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in technical or business field. We hope that you have at least five years of work experience in procurement and/or supply chain management in international business. Fluent spoken and written Finnish and English are required, other languages beneficial. We hope you are highly organized, you have strong planning skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills. We are looking for a person who keeps things under control, can work with a variety of people and has team leading experience. Most importantly, we hope to find someone who is self-driven and well-organized, has high work ethic, as well as a can-do attitude even under pressure.
